Centrifugal pumps quality research installation using tension methody

Abstract

Considered types of marine centrifugal pumps, their design, principle of operation, maintenance, consequences of damage and ways of their elimination. In order to study the quality of centrifugal pumps, it is proposed to measure the flow of liquid at the inlet and outlet of the pump using the tensometry method. The hydraulic scheme of the centrifugal pump quality research installation is presented, which includes two measuring pipelines of the narrow-wide- narrow type and a valve for simulating pump leakage, the hydraulic calculation of the installation is carried out, the results of measurements at different valve opening angles are given. The analysis of the given data indicates the possibility of determining the quality centrifugal pumps in the process of pumping by using two measuring pipelines of the strain gauge flowmeter at the pump inlet and outlet.
